We are organized to support the Guilford Fire & Rescue by providing financial support and other assistance. We will consider all requests to assist the Guilford Fire & Rescue and its members in various projects, civil or social. We will directly assist community members in time of emergencies as our finances and abilities allow.
The Guilford Fire Department Auxiliary has been assisting the fire department and townspeople for approximately 25 years. Since re-organizing in 2004, we have held several fundraisers including various bake sales and running a dunking booth at the Guilford Fair. We hold our annual boot drop on Labor Day and our yearly pie sale. We assist the fire department with their Sugar on Snow Supper and in December, we have a Christmas Party for the children of the fire department members.
In the past years, we have assisted setting up emergency shelters and supply food and beverages to emergency personnel during disasters. We provided lunches for the Vermont Firefighter 1 classes that were held at the Guilford Fire Station in the fall of 2006 to the spring of 2007. We have made monetary donations to families that have had tragic losses. We have made the following donations to the fire department:
